Shoulder season will consist of working in the season pass office w/additional duties. REQUIREMENTS: Must be available weekends and holidays ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To create a friendly and helpful environment for guests and staff throughout the sales and accounting processes. Will maintain a friendly and outgoing attitude at all times. Support the overall vision and direction for the operations of the Guest Services Department (Guest Services Desk, Daily Tickets, and Season Passes). Supervision: Oversee the operating procedures, controls and service standards that the department has established. Guide and coach staff with the day-to-day decisions that affect guests and administer excellent friendly guest recovery and information when needed. Work with the Guest Services Manager for hiring, performance reviews and other personnel issues for all department employees. Assist the Guest Services Manager to develop pre-season and in season training. Plan and administer the weekly department & safety meetings and monthly JHAs. Oversee the staff by communicating weekly staff schedules, reduce staffing based on business levels and time edits and approvals of ADP as needed. Responsible for maintaining the proper amount of guest surveys are completed. Maintain a positive attitude and work environment while being supportive of Schweitzer and its policies. Financial: Responsible for timely, accurate daily revenue reports and maintaining safe/bank accountability. Must be able to balance the needs of all business aspects including guests, users and accounting. Communication & Recognition: Work with the Guest Services Manager to come up with Monthly and Seasonal Department contests and assessing the measurement/goals of the department. Enforce Guest Services employee standards. Help exceed company EOS scores in the Guest Services department. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SKILLS: High computer literacy: Word and Excel, email and Internet, Siriusware. Excellent communication skills (internally and externally) and assessment abilities. Accurate cash handling skills. Leadership abilities and organization of personal workload. Multi-tasking ability, ability to self-start and prioritize and delegate tasks/ duties. Strong public relations/ guest services skills and people/ relationship building skills. Ability to work within a budget while still achieving high results. Prefer ability to ski/ride terrain at Schweitzer. EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of four years Customer Service required. Minimum of three years Sales experience required. Minimum of three years supervisory experience required. Cash handling experience required Ski industry experience an asset. LICENSE NEEDED: Valid driver’s license insurable through Schweitzer. Physical Demands: This position can vary physical position at will. Will complete paper/ computer work for up to 10 hours per day; will stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours per day. Breaks and lunch available between busy times on a varying schedule. Will lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds with assistance. Will bend, squat, kneel, climb, twist and reach above shoulder level occasionally to frequently. 90% inside and 10% outside worksite, exposed to all moisture levels and temperature changes. Hazards are eyestrain from computer, leg/foot strain from long periods of standing and ice and snow. Machines or Tools Operated: Computer; Windows based computer programs including Word and Excel; E-time time sheets; Windows Explorer, Siriusware ticketing system, 10-key adding machine, two way radio and office equipment. Must be comfortable trouble shooting computer equipment. Company vehicle WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Work is subject to frequent interruptions making continuity and accuracy difficult. High volume of business could be stressful. Possible travel. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Must have or be willing to obtain extensive knowledge of Schweitzer’s facilities and activities.
