Credit and Collections Supervisor is responsible for the activities and operations in the credit and collections department. Oversees the processing and verification of applications for credit and the solicitation for payment on overdue accounts. Being a Credit and Collections Supervisor investigates credit issues and suggests payment options to be approved. Ensures collectors follow all protocols, laws and regulations to collect payments efficiently. Additionally, Credit and Collections Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Credit and Collections Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision.     Summary

    Oversees all aspects of cage and money room operations on assigned shifts. The Cage and Credit Supervisor will also assist with Cage Teller duties as needed.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee all operations of the cage and money room including but not limited to check cashing, ticket redemption, jackpot payouts, issues and deposits of banks, customer disputes, verification of bank issues and returns, verification of Loomis transmittals, credit authorization and declines, and vault verification.
    • Train personnel in all aspects of operations including company policies/procedures.
    • Prepare weekly and monthly reports and established audits.
    • Ensure departmental compliance with all federal, state, and tribal regulations and laws with particular attention paid to Title 31 regulations.
    • Create weekly staff schedules that are designed to provide outstanding customer service during peak hours and make schedule adjustments as needed.
    • Recommend procedure changes as required for changing regulations or to improve efficiencies in the cage.
    • Evaluate, mentor, and coach employees in order to maintain and enhance operations of the department.
    • Publicly reward employees for outstanding performance.
    • Conduct performance reviews and recommend wage increases and promotions.
    • Review, prepare, and submit payroll.
    • Attend internal and external training programs as required by the Cage/Credit Manager.
    • Mediate guest complaints and resolve disputes.
    • Handle employee complaints and/or grievances.
    • Perform cashier or money room duties as needed.
    • Other projects and duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Education/Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
    • Must be able to obtain a Coeur d’Alene tribal gaming license.
    • Associate’s degree or an equivalent amount of training and experience required.
    • One year of previous experience handling U.S. and foreign currency as a Cage Teller, Vault Teller, or documented equivalent experience required; three years preferred.

    Skills/Knowledge

    • Excellent customer service and human relations skills required.
    • Must have strong leadership and interpersonal abilities.
    • Strong math skills are required.
    • Excellent communication skills are required.
    • Proven motivation, mediation, problem solving, and decision making abilities required.
    • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality a must.
    • Must have an exemplary attendance record.
