Crane Operator operates a crane to lift, move, load, unload, or position heavy materials or equipment. Performs daily safety and performance checks of crane equipment and may perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating or checking fluid levels. Being a Crane Operator communicates via hand or radio signals to receive or convey instructions. Identifies and addresses potential hazards and adheres to all safety protocols. Additionally, Crane Operator maintains documentation of activities including time logs and inspection reports to ensure compliance with regulations and operating procedures. Typically requires a high school diploma. May require NCCCO Certification. May require State License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Crane Operator works under moderate supervision. We are the LinkBelt Crane distributor for Hawaii and provide crane sales, rentals, inspections and equipment repairs.
We have an immediate opening for a full-time crane operator who takes pride in their work and will deliver quality customer service. Candidates need to be proficient in time management, communication, organization and have the appropriate NCCCO Operators Certifications as well as a valid Class B or Class A driver’s license.
Responsibilities:
- Perform site evaluations to ensure job feasibility and specific crane requirements
- Safely perform all crane lifts as required by the customers and employer
- Transport equipment and material as needed
- Perform pre and post rental fleet inspections
- Perform OSHA periodic inspections on rental equipment as needed
- Perform 90-day BIT inspections on rental equipment as needed
- Complete the necessary documentation in an accurate and timely fashion
Requirements:
- Able to operate various cranes and equipment
- Must have appropriate NCCCO Operators Certifications
- Has either a valid Class B or Class A license
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Exhibit a level of competency and service quality to the customer
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Be courteous and professional to customers and coworkers
Salary: Operator rate is $43.00 per hour; support rate is $30.00 per hour
