We’re currently seeking a highly motivated Cost Analyst located in Philadelphia, PA.
Required Education:
- BS/BA in a related field (Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business and Accounting etc.) preferred.
- Preferable general construction and project management understanding of construction protocols and procedures for safety, quality, labor relationships, and coordination of the work of other firms.
Required Qualifications:
In order to become a candidate, you must possess the following skills and abilities.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience
- Baseline of key performance -- attention to detail, accuracy, consistency, reliability, and timely reporting.
- Familiarity with construction – related projects and/or programs is desirable.
- Strong to advanced Microsoft Excel skills is required. Experience with eBuilder, a cloud-based construction management software. or similar systems is desirable. Microsoft Power BI or other dashboard skills is a plus.
- Experience in project and/or joint venture accounting is desirable.
- Strong written and verbal presentation skills to provide meaningful and concise communication to clients, subconsultants, and team members.
- Ability to manage time effectively and efficiently; show capability of having organizational and planning skills, having an aptitude for accuracy, attention to detail and ability to achieve goals.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with all project stakeholders within a matrix organizational structure inclusive of the project team members, and support functions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide monthly analysis of subconsultant costs versus projected budget limitations.
- Prepare and maintain cash flow, cost reports and forecasts.
- Provide financial and analytical oversight when needed to projects including but not limited to assisting project management with forecasting, performance metrics and risk analysis.
- Support administrative change management processes.
- Coordinate with and support in preparing initial subconsultant agreements or agreement modifications.
- Apply best practices and knowledge of internal/external business issues to improve processes or services.
- Work with the established cost and financial systems and processes.
- Awareness that the final work product is intended for Internal project management consumption. However, the information may be shared at management discretion with other supporting departments who may have direct or indirect impact on project progress and will provide feedback to be considered.
