Contracts Administration Manager prepares and administers bids, proposals, and commercial and government contracts that follow company policies and legal requirements. Manages the contracts administration staff and guides compliance with complex contractual and regulatory requirements. Being a Contracts Administration Manager negotiates with suppliers, partners, or customers. Ensures contracts are administered and monitored to maintain compliance with the terms of agreements. Additionally, Contracts Administration Manager has a strong understanding of the contract life cycle, types of contracts, and applicable government regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Sometimes requires certification like the NCMA Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM). Typically reports to a director. The Contracts Administration Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Contracts Administration Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Overview

    • Responsible for managing contracts for multiple defense programs and projects. This role will act as the main representative for all company contract matters. The Contracts Manager acts as business partners to Program Managers, Project Managers, and the Customer, assisting them in planning for and preparation and performance of contract execution in compliance with contract terms.

    What You'll Be Doing

    • Review contract terms and conditions, redline or negotiate favorable terms in accordance with corporate policy and to minimize company risk and exposure.
    • Ensures internal contractual compliance with company policy and FAR/DFARS requirements.
    • Develop and maintain contract documentation, including contract files, reports, and correspondence.
    • Manage contract change requests and modifications and ensure that they are properly documented and communicated to all stakeholders.
    • Monitor contracts, to include administering, extending, modifying, or terminating as required.
    • Proven ability to oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from bidding processes to execution, ensuring adherence to terms and conditions.
    • Acts as the primary interface between our client and customers and subcontractors on contractual matters, claims and disputes.
    • Participate in meetings and conferences related to DoD contracts.

    What You Need

    • Must have 5 years of demonstrated experience in negotiating, administering, and ensuring compliance with Government contracts.
    • Must understand principles of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and supplements such as DFARS.
    • Must have experience in all major types of contracts - Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursable, Time & Material, & Incentive.
    • Preferred experience in Department of Defense contracts.
    • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and other MS Products
    • Must be ITAR compliant.
