Contracts Administration Director is responsible for all activities in the organization's contracts administration function. Oversees the preparation of proposals, negotiations, and the administration of contracts that follow company policies and legal requirements. Being a Contracts Administration Director directs and develops policies and processes that govern the contract administration staff and provide guidance on contract terms and the assessment of contract proposals. Has deep knowledge of the contract life cycle, types of contracts, and applicable government regulations. Additionally, Contracts Administration Director leads negotiations for complex or high-value contracts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Sometimes requires certification like the NCMA Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM). Typically reports to senior management. The Contracts Administration Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Contracts Administration Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.   • Your Opportunity:

    As TechSource’s Deputy Director for Contracts & Procurement you will directly support the Director, Contracts & Procurement in leading a team of motivated and knowledgeable contract administrators. You will also be the company’s second in command subject matter expert and point of contact for all contracts and related agreements including, but not limited to Department of Energy (DOE)/National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Department of Defense (DoD), industry partner contracts, as well as subcontracts. In this role you will lead and manage contract negotiation, analysis, and administration; prepare proposals; and provide customer service related to contract acquisition and fulfillment. Within this scope, you will ensure compliance with contract stipulations, track contract performance, and interpret contract requirements. Furthermore, you will mentor, train, and develop the Contracts Department staff. Ideally, you will live and work in Albuquerque, NM. However, remote work arrangements may be considered.


    What You Will Do:

    • Support the Contracts Director in leading and mentoring a small team of contract administrators with varying levels of experience in cradle to grave contract strategies and administration.
    • Mange and delegate tasking within the team. Monitor deadlines.
    • Work closely with Program Managers to understand their contract and subcontracting needs.
    • Act as the second in command point of contact for the company in contract negotiation, interpretation, and administration.
    • Review and provide counsel, advice, and assistance to management on matters dealing with contract compliance, costs, and price for contracts, and ensure documentation for each contract is maintained.
    • Advise company leadership on strategic contract opportunities and lead complex contract negotiations.
    • Implement strategic improvements and efficiencies in the Contracts Department.
    • Work collaboratively with corporate stakeholders to drive corporate performance measures.
    • Perform as the Acting Contracts Director while the Contracts Director is out of the office.


    What You Will Need:

    • 12 or more years of government procurement and contracts work experience, with a bachelor’s degree in business or other relevant discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
    • 4 or more years of management and supervisory experience leading and empowering others.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance.
    • Knowledge of and experience with all federal acquisition regulations and applicable agency supplements.
    • Knowledge of and experience with governmental contracts and the flow-down of applicable clauses and requirements.
    • Effective and concise verbal and written communication, problem solver, adaptable, and resourceful.
    • Ability to adapt to small team responsibilities and needs.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Advanced knowledge of MS Office.
    • Ability to work and manage a team remotely.
    • Ability to travel occasionally, up to 25%.
    • CFCM and/or CPCM a plus.
    • CPSR compliant procurement/subcontracting experience desired.
