Consumer Lending Branch Auditor jobs in Alabama
Consumer Lending Branch Auditor reviews the consumer loan materials and data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company guidelines and policies as well as state and/or federal statutes within one branch. Makes recommendation to improve procedures and other improper documentations accordingly. Being a Consumer Lending Branch Auditor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Consumer Lending Branch Auditor typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Responsibilities:
- Review loan applications and determine eligibility based on established criteria
- Collect and verify financial information and documentation from applicants
- Analyze applicant's creditworthiness and financial situation to assess risk
- Prepare loan documents, including contracts and disclosures, in compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., TILA)
- Coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, and other team members to ensure timely processing of loans
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to loan applications
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of loan transactionsQualifications:
- Previous experience in loan origination or related financial services field preferred
- Strong mathematical skills, including proficiency in basic math calculations and 10-key typing
- Knowledge of loan processing procedures and regulations
- Familiarity with contract preparation and review
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document preparation
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
