Configuration Analysis Supervisor supervises the coordination and administration of configuration management activities. Monitors released engineering change data to ensure adherence to configuration management procedures and policies. Being a Configuration Analysis Supervisor reviews change documentation so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software. Acts as an advisor to the configuration analysis team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Additionally, Configuration Analysis Supervisor typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Configuration Analysis Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Configuration Analysis Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. About WYSAC: The Wyoming Survey & Analysis Center (WYSAC), a unit of the University of Wyoming, specializes in program evaluation, survey research, and scientific polling under contract to governmental and private entities in Wyoming and throughout the nation. WYSAC specializes in research related to criminal justice, substance abuse prevention, public and behavioral health, education, the environment, and public opinion. The staff consists of professionals with degrees in statistics, political science, psychology, sociology, economics, information technology, business, and other policy-relevant disciplines. WYSAC is fully funded by external grants obtained by writing proposals or securing work through other connections. Over time, the successful applicant will be expected to be involved in and eventually lead this process.
