Compliance Investigator conducts investigations of alleged violations of the corporation's ethical standards or non-compliance with applicable laws, regulations and corporate policy. Ensures that investigations follow the approved process, are lawfully and objectively conducted, are thorough in gathering all material facts and present an accurate accounting of the issues. Being a Compliance Investigator presents clear, concise, and factual reports that enable fair and relevant decisions to be made. Recommends proactive measures that will reduce the risk of similar future incidents. Additionally, Compliance Investigator typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. May require a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification. The Compliance Investigator contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.     PHARMACY COMPLIANCE INSPECTOR / INVESTIGATOR

    The State of New Hampshire, Office of Professional Licensure and Certification, Division of Enforcement has a full-time vacancy for a Pharmacy Compliance Inspector / Investigator.

    Summary:

    To monitor the prescribing, dispensing, administration, and all recordkeeping of receipt / distribution of prescription drugs to ensure compliance with state and federal drug laws. Works under the direction of the Chief Pharmacy Compliance Inspector / Investigator of the Division of Enforcement.

    18 Months of additional relevant experience = Associate's degree

    36 Months of additional relevant experience = Bachelor's degree

    54 Months of additional relevant experience = Master's degree

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education: Bachelor's degree from a college of pharmacy or department of a university accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education and approved by the New Hampshire Board of Pharmacy.

    Experience: Seven years' experience as a practicing Pharmacist in community or institutional practice, five years of which shall have been worked in the State of New Hampshire.

    License/Certification: Licensure by the New Hampshire Board of Pharmacy and possession of a valid New Hampshire driver's license and have access to transportation for use in statewide travel.

    Responsibilities:

    Inspect and analyze drug records in all locations within the state where prescription drugs are held, stored, given away or offered for sale to maintain compliance with state and federal drug laws.

    Conducts random accountability audits in all locations that engage in prescription drug activity, to confirm strict accountability for all dosage units of controlled drugs administered, dispensed or distributed.

    Conducts investigations for other health care regulatory Boards relative to the activity of their registrants as it relates to the drug distribution system and to document compliance with state and federal drug laws.

    Provides and presents updated information regarding drug laws to all members of the healthcare delivery system, as well as interpretation of existing regulations to resolve questions regarding record keeping and proper handling, security and distribution of prescription / controlled drugs in the state.

    Prepares activity and investigational reports to the Administrator of the Compliance Division and the Board for analysis and/or confirmation of further action as may be required by any drug audits.

    Attends and participates in continuing education courses to maintain professional skills and train other health professionals relative to pharmaceutical drug use or abuse.

    Evaluates data submitted for the licensing of health care professionals subject to the Pharmacy Act in conjunction with the Pharmacy Board.

    Operates as an official agent of the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Board of Pharmacy relative to the removal and destruction of outdated, unwanted, or adulterated controlled drugs that have been allocated to the health care professionals within the borders of the state.
