Compensation and Benefits Director manages the design, implementation, administration, communication, and ongoing evaluation of the organization's compensation and benefits programs, policies, and procedures. Ensures that compensation and benefits programs support the organization's business objectives and meet all legal requirements. Being a Compensation and Benefits Director develops and manages compensation and benefits budgets. Oversees compensation processes, including survey participation, job evaluation, salary structure development, base pay administration, incentive plan design and analysis. Additionally, Compensation and Benefits Director manages benefits planning and programs including health and welfare, retirement, and work life. May select and manage outsourced providers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Compensation and Benefits Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Compensation and Benefits Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Job Summary

    As a Compensation & Benefits Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting the Compensation & Benefits Director and will be responsible for managing and administering the company's benefits and compensation programs. Your role will involve conducting analysis, providing recommendations, and implementing strategies to ensure competitive and cost-effective benefits and compensation practices that align with the organization's objectives.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (includes Other Duties As Required)

    • Serves as primary contact regarding benefits questions.
    • Assist in annual open enrollment including speaking at employee meetings, assisting team members in understanding, and choosing options; reviews and approves benefits in the HRIS system, helps with other logistics, and prepares presentations reflecting benefit changes, policy changes, etc.
    • Ensures new hires enroll in their benefits timely.
    • Administers FMLA and processes STD/LTD claims; initiates, tracks, processes necessary forms, and monitors FMLA hours and trends.
    • Reconciles and prepares monthly payments of Momentec Brands insurance premiums; research discrepancies and notifies the appropriate benefit company. Monitors insurance premiums while employees are on leave. Notifies employees of amount due and cancellation procedures.
    • Processes benefit deductions, changes in benefits, etc. through HRIS.
    • Act as the liaison between employees and benefits vendors, conducting thorough research and addressing any issues pertaining to claims or benefits with precision.
    • Efficiently oversee all aspects of 401(k) contributions and distribution requests within our HRIS.
    • Collaborate with the Compensation & Benefits Director to ensure compliance with Affordable Care Act (ACA) regulations and reporting requirements.
    • Provide valuable support in the coordination and execution of annual performance management processes. Assist in thorough market analyses to inform compensation decisions and ensure competitiveness.
    • Manages day-to-day workers' compensation claims across all sites, ensuring timely and effective handling of cases to support employees' well-being and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Collaborate closely with HR Generalist Site Support to deliver comprehensive benefits orientation sessions for new hires.
    • Assist in site support needs for the Statesville, NC location in various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, policy interpretation, badge system and other HR functions as needed.
    • Collaborate with the HR Generalist Site Support at our Statesville location to efficiently oversee operations and management of the employee store.
    • Work with Safety leaders and assist as needed to support site needs.
    • Track HR metrics monthly including benefits enrollments, 401k enrollments and employee incidents.

    Skills/Qualifications/Education/Licenses & Certifications

    • Graduation from an accredited college or University with a degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management, Psychology, or related Human Services field and considerable experience in HR Management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • PHR, PHR-C, SHRM-CP or SHRM-CS preferred.
    • Bilingual Preferred (English and Spanish)
    • Proven experience in compensation and benefits analysis, preferably in a corporate environment.
    • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
    • Knowledge of compensation principles, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
    • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and discretion when handling sensitive information.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Effective computer skills to include in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint and experience with HRIS systems.

    • Ability to constantly use a computer keyboard/mouse/monitor to enter data (repetitively).
    • Ability to endure occasional movement bending, stooping and reaching above shoulder level as needed for daily tasks.
    • Occasionally climb stairs to multi-level work site.
    • This position primarily works in a temperature-controlled office environment.

    Work Hours

    • Full time, Exempt team member. Typically, 8:00am – 5:00pm schedule.
