Community Health Director jobs in Maine
Community Health Director is responsible for developing plans for community-based health programs aimed at the prevention of disease and promotion of health. Recommends community health initiatives, policy implications and best practices after reviewing health literature and statistics. Being a Community Health Director identifies community health program related grant funding and develops grant proposals. Manages specific community health programs from planning and design through implementation and evaluation. Additionally, Community Health Director requires a master's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a top management. The Community Health Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Community Health Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. The Dental Director will provide clinical leadership and direction to the dental team to ensure the delivery of high quality, accessible, and coordinated care. The dental practice, located within a community health center which has served the community for 49 years, is equipped with the latest dental equipment including digital radiography, chair side computer charting and intra-oral imaging. Each year, 3,000 area residents visit Bingham Area Health Center for medical and oral healthcare. Bingham is one of 12 practices of HealthReach Community Health Centers serving Central and Western Maine.
