Community Development Manager manages the economic development lending activities to support or subsidize improvements in the community. Ensures company visibility is established in the area and promotes relationships with groups, agencies, and organizations in the community to identify lending and other business development opportunities. Being a Community Development Manager evaluates the current and future credit needs of the community and develops a strong understanding of the local issues and needs. Actively monitors public programs that support community development initiatives. Additionally, Community Development Manager initiates policy changes or enhancements to ensure compliance with Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and other regulations. Makes recommendations to expand and develop lending programs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Community Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Community Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Educational Manager

    Job Summary:

    The Educational Manager is responsible for all aspects of classroom and educational program requirements. The manager supervises specified teaching staff and provides training for competency and professional staff development. The manager must be knowledgeable of HS performance standards, licensing standards, RIDE standards. Their role is to ensure that children are safe while in our care and teaching staff prepares them for Kindergarten.


    WORK SCHEDULE DEMANDS:

    Full time and full year. 37.5-40 hours a week. Opportunity to work from home minimally if needed. Evenings/weekends as needed. May be required to work at any CCAP location.

    Requirements:

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood, Human Development, or related field.
    • Knowledge of HS or ECE standards preferred.
    • 5 year experience
    • Bilingual preferred.
    • Must pass Bureau of Criminal Investigation
    • Must be fingerprinted.
    • Must have physical exam and Mantoux test upon hire.
    • Valid driver’s license and proof of liability insurance

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Work with leadership team to design a training plan that meets the needs of all staff.
    • Evaluate education staff based on their job description, performance, and Individual Professional Development Plan.
    • Provide reflective supervision to education staff.
    • Assign classroom staffing and child placement in conjunction with leadership.
    • Track home visits and conferences to ensure all standards are met.
    • Assist in the development of the educational program design based on the community needs assessment.
    • Plans and assists ERSEA manager and teams to create and implement family engagement activities.
    • Collaborate with the public schools regarding transitioning children to the public school. Oversee transitions from 0-3 to 3-5 classrooms.
    • Attend RI HS Education Manager meetings and conduct internal staff meetings.
    • Collect, analyze, and aggregate data to support child outcomes and improve program practice.
    • Provide a quarterly school readiness report to Policy Council.
    • Facilitate family engagement thru education activities to promote school readiness.
    • Supervise staff and oversee adherence to all aspects of licensing, HS Performance and State Pre-K Standards. Ensure staff are utilizing active supervision techniques to keep children safe.
    • Other job duties as assigned.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The environment is a clinical business office environment. Potential exposure to blood borne pathogens, respiratory diseases and other infectious diseases, and other biohazardous material requiring universal standard precautions. This position requires the individual to have their own transportation, a current unrestricted license to drive, documented auto insurance and the individual must be willing to work in schools, health offices and the community.
