POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for handling all commercial real estate leasing matters for portfolio of stores. Tasks will include negotiating lease rates and all applicable terms, property management and document review and revision. Currently, this is a hybrid remote/in-person position, subject to change.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ongoing verification and abstraction of lease information and appropriate updating of the database as needed
• Responsible for new lease set up to include researching lease information and acquisition of key information from various parties
• Negotiate agreements between franchisees/licensees, landlords and various company entities
• Review, revise and negotiate language in any and all types of lease agreements and related documents
• Interpret lease language and respond to internal and external inquiries
• Dispute resolution between landlords, franchisees/licensees, and various company entities with an emphasis on maintaining a good relationship with all parties
• Research and preparation of various reports as requested by other company departments such as Accounting or Operations
• Research various expense billings (i.e. utility bills, insurance, etc.) as necessary and appropriate
• Maintain database of critical lease information
• Maintain all lease documents and lease correspondence in hard files and scanned electronic folders
• Communicate with and support other departments, e.g., Accounting and Operations, with all lease-related matters
• Administrative and other special projects as assigned

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in a commercial real estate leasing role or equivalent (servicing landlords and/or tenants)
• Understanding of property management processes and legal terms pertaining to commercial leases
• Proficient in drafting and revising legal documents
• Experience with Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Word required
• Strong analytical, organizational and planning skills with the ability to multi task and deal with shifting priorities
• Experience in franchising is a plus, but not a requirement

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,566.07 - $60,896.77 per year
