Civil Engineer jobs in Massachusetts

Civil Engineer plans, designs, and supervises the construction and maintenance of building and infrastructure projects such as airports, bridges, channels, dams, railroads, or roads. Analyzes the design effectiveness and structural reliability of major projects including assessing and testing materials. Being a Civil Engineer performs the necessary data collection and calculations in areas such as traffic forecasting, soil capacity, groundwater analysis, and structure design. Estimates costs including personnel and material needs, prepares proposals, and establishes completion dates. Additionally, Civil Engineer may also assist in inspecting aging infrastructure or overseeing improvement projects. May participate in an engineering or professional development program. May be working towards obtaining a Professional Engineer License (PE). Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a manager. The Civil Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. To be a Civil Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

From an urban redevelopment site, industrial sites, to a new school project, you’ll take part in designing site layouts, grading plans, storm water management facilities, water quality best management practices, and utilities. Interacting with clients, contractors, local government officials, you’ll impact the whole project - from conceptual and design phases, through the regulatory review process, bidding, and construction, all the way to the grand opening.

    Applicants will have an option to sit in either our Raynham, MA or Peabody, MA office locations.

    • B.S. in Civil Engineering (MS a plus);
    • 3-5 years’ professional engineering experience;
    • E.I.T. or F.E. certification;
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D;
    • Ability to speak and write professionally;
    • Experience and knowledge of commercial real estate site design is a plus.
