A Chemist job is available with the City of Fort Worth Water Department Central Water Laboratory. A Chemist performs a variety of laboratory tests on water/wastewater samples for environmental monitoring and testing: to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This position supports the laboratory’s mission of providing accurate, responsive and cost-effective analytical and technical services to all areas of the community. The chemist is responsible for preparing and analyzing water and wastewater samples for chemical analysis. A Chemist works a day shift schedule, but additional off-hours work schedules may be required for emergencies to include weekends and holidays.
