Category Management Analyst provides insights and recommendations to optimize new product introductions, distribution, shelving, price and promotional mix by analyzing marketing and customer data. Analyzes and assesses category/brand performance to develop enhanced marketing and sales plans and promotions. Being a Category Management Analyst conducts market specific assessments of competitors, vendors, and customers to support decisions and influence management. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Category Management Analyst typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Category Management Analyst gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Executing routine administrative and clerical tasks, handling both routine and non-routine assignments, including special projects.
• Overseeing and managing the operational aspects of ongoing projects.
• Managing, scheduling and preparing status reports.
• Writing, typing meeting minutes, data entry, badging, and document preparation.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree; additional years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
• Expert-level abilities in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project (biggest requirement)
• Experience maintaining a schedule in Microsoft Project.
• High level of attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, strong time management abilities, and adaptability under pressure to meet frequent deadlines.
• Strong research skills.
• Ability to work well within a team and communicate well both orally and written.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Compensation: $22-35/hour
Clearance Requirement:
Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a public trust clearance.
