    Work Hours: This position will work and be paid for 80 hours in a 2 week pay period

    Starting Salary: $30.37 an hour / $63,169.60 annually

    Current county employees will follow the county's promotion/demotion policy.  

    Responsibilities:

    1. Screen potential candidates for their appropriateness for MAT using verified clinical assessment tools.
    2. Coordinate closely with PrimeCare, Inc. who will administer MAT to inmates.
    3. Develop individualized treatment plans for an inmate for the time that they will be incarcerated. 
    4. Provide individual counseling and therapeutic services including the Matrix Model’s MAT group counseling.
    5. Provides mental health crisis intervention when necessary. 
    6. Refer inmates to appropriate programs and/or counselors within the facility or the community. 
    7. Develop Reentry plans in conjunction with Adult Probation. 
    8. Assume duties of other case managers as needed.
    9. Liaison with courts and community agencies.
    10. Maintain statistics related to job duties and outcomes and create monthly and annual reports.
    11. Fulfill all training requirements and a minimum of 40 hours of training annually.
    12. Conduct individual/group counseling as assigned.
    13. Assist wherever needed/directed, respond as required during emergencies

     

    Qualifications:

    EDUCATION/TRAINING:

    1. Must be and maintain a LCSW. Bachelor's degree in social or behavioral sciences or related field. Employee must successfully complete the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections’ Basic Training Academy or equivalent accredited county correctional training course.

    WORK EXPERIENCE: 

    1. At least 3 to 5 years of experience in social work for drug and alcohol, mental health, or related fields with a preference for justice-involved clients or a criminal justice or correctional setting.
