Cardiology Supervisor supervises daily operations within the cardiology department. Monitors the work of staff members and ensures quality of tests, procedures, and other aspects of patient care. Being a Cardiology Supervisor typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Additionally, Cardiology Supervisor may require licensure or certification in an area of specialty. The Cardiology Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. The Office Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day management of the front office co-workers; ensuring adequate coverage at all times, participating in annual performance reviews with the Practice Manager, training new front office co-workers in addition to on-going training for existing co-workers, assist with the development of appropriate front desk policies and procedures as well as performing all front desk duties such as registration, answering/triaging of phone calls, appointment scheduling, form completion, surgery scheduling and precertification. Functions as the EPIC Superuser for front desk duties. Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required with coursework in clerical skills.
- Experience: Minimum five years health care experience.
