Business Process Optimization Manager manages teams that study and develop optimization changes to an organization's business processes to improve operational efficiencies, quality, service, and profitability. Conducts research on best practices and industry trends for the business. Being a Business Process Optimization Manager oversees the in-depth analysis of existing workflows. Utilizes flowcharts and process maps to define existing processes and identify areas needing improvement. Additionally, Business Process Optimization Manager engages and organizes subject matter experts and cross-functional groups to collect inputs. Implements the tools required to collect and measure relevant data, identify key performance indicators (KPI), and produce a data-driven analysis of critical functions. Introduces new business processes to the organization and produces documentation, tools, and training to support adoption. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Business Process Optimization Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Business Process Optimization Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     How You’ll Make an Impact

    The Business Optimization Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams for initiatives related to Valvoline Global Operations Americas to help the region meet growth targets. The Project Manager's primary focus is to initiate, plan, execute, control and close approved projects via the Project Management process. The 3 main responsibilities will be to plan, monitor, and document the progress of the project to keep it on schedule and within budget.

     

    In the role, you would be responsible for:

    • Planning: Define and document project scope, goals and deliverables that support operational goals.  Create project timelines for all initiatives, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines.  Delegate tasks on the project plans to the appropriate team members.  Adjusting the project plan as needed based on organizational priorities.  Oversee implementation of new processes and procedures.  Build collaborative and productive teams.
    • Monitoring: Lead cross functional team meetings to project plan.  Assure team members are completing tasks and adhering to timeline.  Maintain consistent communication.  Participate in cross functional discussions regarding projects.  Present and facilitate meetings with teams, management, and key stakeholders.  Ensure effective decisions are made when needed.  Serve as the point of contact for all questions related to the project.  Manage the identification, resolution and escalation of project risks, critical path, and issues.  Develop best practices and solutions to improve the process. 
    • Documenting: Create project-based communication (agendas, minutes, status, timelines, informational materials) and distribute information as appropriate.  Update project information in Workfront, ensuring the system is up to date for project reporting.  Foster effective communication with stakeholders concerning project status.  Perform post project audits to ensure effectiveness of and adherence to implemented projects/processes.

    What You’ll Need

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent higher level of education
    • 5-7 years professional level work experience (Sales, Marketing, Corporate)

    • 2-3 years of project management experience

    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
