Branch Review Specialist conducts branch internal audits to determine whether business controls are sufficient and effectively executed in accordance with bank policies and procedures. Tests established procedures to ensure operational efficiency within branch offices. Being a Branch Review Specialist determines whether branches are performing their planning, accounting, custodial, or business control activities in compliance with management instructions, policies, and procedures. Evaluates functions and activities in assigned areas to determine the nature of operations and the adequacy of systems to achieve established objectives. Additionally, Branch Review Specialist recommends corrective actions and improvements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Branch Review Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Mountain West Bank is looking for an outstanding Full-Time Branch Support Specialit for our beautiful Coeur d'Alene, ID Corporate Office. The Branch Support Specialist will provide assistance to assigned branches throughout our footprint, seek out appropriate answers to questions posed by the branches and ensure assigned reports are reviewed. This position will travel to assigned branches for assistance and training

    This position will be 40 hours a week, schedule may be flexible between 8:00AM and 6:00PM Monday through Friday. Minimum rate $20.84 DOE

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Listens and responds effectively to internal and external customer questions resolving issues to the satisfaction of others. Demonstrate respect for all customers. Provide follow-up in a timely manner
    • Ensure assigned reports are reviewed timely and accurately and all follow-up occurs as needed.
    • Listen and communicate with Branches in order to:
    • Assist Branch Support Team Lead to identify, research and develop new and/or improve Operational procedures.
    • Identify and communicate areas where additional training may be needed.
    • Routinely travel to assigned branches and perform training, support or pre-audit functions. As needed, provide ongoing support to Customer Service Managers.
    • Assist Branch Support Team Lead with Retail Banking related INTRANET page updates as needed.
    • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control

    About You

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.

    • 2 or more years of experience in a financial institution with a broad exposure to products, services and procedures.

    • Good knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

    • Excellent Communication Skills both verbal and written to maintain a heavy volume of correspondence, personal contact, and telephone communication.

    • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

    • Ability to multi-task and handle complex tasks efficiently.

    • Strong organizational skills

    • Ability to work independent of daily supervision

    • Self Directed and Motivated to complete tasks on a daily basis

    • Excellent customer service skills

    PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:

    • Knowledge of Mountain West Bank's products, services and procedures

    • Knowledge of SilverLake Teller, Xperience, 4Sight and Synergy

    • Previous experience in a branch setting, preferably as a CSM.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to: sit; use hands in repetitive motions to finger, grasp, handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to: stand; walk; and lift or reach with hands and arms.

    Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary.

    Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

    Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Light work. The employee is constantly required to stand and walk. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
