Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Asst. Professor - Dentistry typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and contributes to research In a specialized field. As a Dentistry Veterinary Technician:- You will perform oral examinations.
- You will perform dental charting.
- You will take dental radiographs with proper positioning and technique.
- You will set up and assist with dental procedures and surgeries.
- You will perform professional dental cleanings including subgingival scaling, root planning, and curettage.
- You will perform effective oral nerve blocks in preparation for advanced procedures as directed by veterinarian.
- You will be able to calculate basic medical math.
- You will understand classification of commonly used medications, associated side effects and appropriately monitors therapeutic response.
- You will administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.
- You will perform phlebotomy.
- You will have the ability to place peripheral intravenous catheters.
- You will perform physical exam; accurately count heart, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate and effort.
- You will induce, monitor anesthesia and recover patients.

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through CareerTrax leveling system.- Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience**
- Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum.
- Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am = $3.50 Shift Differential
- Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.00 Shift Differential
