Associate Dean of Continuing Education jobs in Texas
Associate Dean of Continuing Education assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of continuing education. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Continuing Education provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Continuing Education typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Continuing Education typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Coordination of Advertisement and Transportation Requirements for Conferences
- Coordinates the advertising efforts and transportation logistics of CPE activities.
• Includes external CME websites, Channel 20, departments/divisions, MD Anderson calendar, posters, and Facebook.
Departmental Administrative Functions - .Provides departmental and customer service support including but not limited to telephone and reception support.
• Distributes intradepartmental mail; coordinates use and check-out of parking cards and token validations; manages conference/office supplies and satellite office supplies; prepares and processes financial forms and speaker expenses; etc.
• Acts as backup Kronos timekeeper • Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to providing on-site conference support. - CME Management 3. Manages CME activities, with oversight

Education
Required: High school diploma or equivalent.Experience
Required: Four years of experience at a professional level in project management, conference management or closely related field, involving planning and organizing resources, marketing , database management, reporting, budget management and financial reconciliation.
