Role and Responsibilities:

• Nursing Professional Practice:
• Assess and identify appropriate nursing diagnoses.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate patients' care.
• Develop, update, and coordinate the patient's care plan to achieve goals and optimize outcomes and transitions across the care continuum.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate.
• Maintain essential competencies required by the specific area of hire and populations served.
• Learning Facilitation:
• Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members, including students.
• Facilitate both formal and informal learning for patients, families, nursing staff, and the community.

• Advocate for ethical and holistic care by partnering in care planning to promote autonomy, dignity, rights, values, and beliefs of those we serve.
• Safety and Quality Alignment:
• Be accountable for safety, identify and correct problems, and integrate evidence and best practices into nursing care.
• Use data and evidence to improve patient outcomes, aligning patient safety, self-safety, and environmental safety for the best results.
• Professional Development:
• Engage in ongoing professional development.
• Practice at the top of the license within the legal parameters of the Nurse Practice Act, the Nursing Social Policy Statement, the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses, and specialty standards.
• Promote a culture of inquiry that explores, integrates, and disseminates research and evidence-based practices.
• Leadership:
• Lead and coordinate teams.
• Delegate appropriately and coordinate care.
• Collaborate with others as equal members of the inter-professional care team to integrate nursing knowledge.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• 1 year of Nursing experience in OR.

Preferred Qualifications:

• National Certification in the area of specialty is preferred upon hire, unless otherwise indicated.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in an Operating Room environment, excluding residency, clinical hours, or school time.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $151,000.00 per year
