Appraiser Sr. (Residential Real Estate) conducts residential real estate appraisals to establish the market value generally used for lending, insurance, or other purposes. Follows standard processes for conducting on-site property inspections, data collection, and research relevant market conditions required to perform valuations. Being an Appraiser Sr. (Residential Real Estate) investigates the quality of the construction, the overall condition of the property, and the surrounding location. Uses generally accepted appraisal practice concepts and practices to perform data analysis, develop valuation estimates, and write comprehensive reports and exhibits. Additionally, Appraiser Sr. (Residential Real Estate) utilizes appraisal software tools and databases. Ensures that reports comply with required policies, formats, and regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. May require the Member of the Appraisal Institute (SRA) or similar designation. Requires a State Appraiser License. Typically reports to a manager. The Appraiser Sr. (Residential Real Estate) work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. • Must have completed or be willing to take real estate appraisal courses
• Dynamic personality with the ability to inspire confidence in senior leadership
Responsibilities:
• Writing commercial and residential appraisals
• Maintaining good relations with clients
• Focusing on the new development project
• Marketing and advertising for the company
• Sending out mailings
• Updating database and appraisal approval list with client banks
• Researching neighborhoods and cities, and conducting ad-hoc research
• Conducting market surveys for forecasting purposes
• Developing new market opportunities for the firm
• Assisting the principal in day-to-day operations
