    Alumni Affairs Manager

    Role Mission :

    IDEA Public Schools is seeking a n Alumni Affairs Manager to join the Alumni Affairs Team to support the work of our Through College goals by coaching and developing a cohort of students during the ir first three years of college . Managers of Alumni Affairs support students through one-on-one coaching, virtual macro and micro-outreach , and connections to campus resources.

    In addition, Managers analyze undergraduate performance data to improve effectiveness of college readiness, design logistics & campaigns around FAFSA, class registration, orientation, summer transition, and alumni events . They also develop and execute re-enrollment campaigns and help coach students around re-engaging with college, supporting students to graduate with their degrees. Finally, Managers will utilize various platforms for communication, including email, social media, and text message communication with students and parents, ensuring all students are successfully making the transition to college.

    Location:

    This is a full-time remote position based in Texas with preference given to candidates who live in Austin, Greater Houston, San Antonio , or who are willing to relocate.

    Travel Expectations:

    This role will require up to approximately 25% travel annually. Typically, this will look like travel for team quarterlies with occasional monthly travel to college campuses for on-site student coaching and partner college connections .

    What You'll Do - Accountabilities

    Essential Duties:
    • Coach and develop 1,000 students to ensure persistence and academic success - special emphasis on recent high IDEA graduates from the Classes of 20 24, 2023, and 2022s.
    • Develop and execute strategic campaigns utilizing micro and macro communication, and personal coaching around FAFSA/TASFA, class registration, academic probation, scholarship opportunities, and campus resources.
    • Design and lead a campaign to support students with appeals, financial aid, and GM5 process.
    • Engage in a comprehensive data analysis to improve college readiness, identify priority student outreach, and design campaigns around the lifecycle of a college student.
    • Develop and coordinate interactive workshops such as the Digital Pre-College Institute and College Logic Sessions, to help students build adaptability, resiliency, and promote persistence through college and in life by closing freshman transition knowledge gaps.

    • Distribute behavioral nudges and alert to 100% of cohort based on the life cycle of a college student to support alumni success and college persistence.
    • Analyze data sets, individual graduation plans, higher ed trends, and research to build a comprehensive plan for coaching students to a 4-year graduation.
    • Develop and maintain accurate and up to date data trackers for 2000 alumni, identifying factors that would impact a student's persistence and timely graduation.
    • Strategize with IDEA campuses about best practices to ensure students matriculate to college with a THROUGH college mindset and are equipped with the fundamental knowledge and skills to ensure on time graduation.
    • Collaborate with the College Partnerships and Career Success team to secure real time data from partner colleges and ensure students understand career development opportunities through IDEA Public Schools and their college of choice.
    • Develop and create a strategic communication plan by analyzing data and higher ed trends to identify students who would benefit from re-enrollment outreach.
    • Strategic Outreach to stopped out students to let them know about resources, manager availability, and steps to re-enroll.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at universities and colleges to bolster student support at partnership universities.
    • Develop and facilitate onboarding procedures for incoming employees to ensure successful socialization to the organization.
    • Present on alumni cohort data set to communicate alumni college enrollment status.
    • Create a collaborative space amongst among the alumni network to connect to students over the summer to each other and to gain vital information to support persistence.
    • Create calendar of touchpoints during the freshmen year to guide communication at focus universities.
    • Strategize with IDEA campuses about best practices to ensure that students matriculate to college with a THROUGH college mindset and are equipped with the fundamental knowledge and skills to ensure on time graduation .


    Goals:

    1. 85% IDEA College Freshman Year Retention
    2. 80% IDEA College Sophomore Year Retention
    3. 75% IDEA College Junior Year Retention
    4. 30 IDEA Pre-On-Track Alumni Re-Enroll to College

    - Experience utilizing data to inform strategic approach

    - Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

    Required Experience:

    - Education: Bachelor's degree

    - 3 years of teaching or coaching experience

    - Experience with Salesforce

    - E xperience with MyEmma

    Preferred Experience:
    • H igher education experience
    • License or Certification: coaching certification

    Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $68,800 and $79,900, commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. This role is also eligible for performance pay based on organizational performance and goal attainment
