Advertising Manager manages the implementation of the strategy, plans, and tactics required to create advertising concepts and campaigns that deliver results and meet organizational and stakeholder objectives. Controls the budget, expenditures, resource allocation, and project timelines for all advertising campaigns. Being an Advertising Manager identifies media channels and directs the placement of all advertisements and the development of promotional materials. Ensures consistent and effective branding and messaging in all forms of advertisements. Additionally, Advertising Manager deploys metrics and data analytics processes to measure campaign effectiveness and assess return on investment. Maintains awareness of industry and competitive intelligence and recommends innovative and new advertising methods and initiatives. Requires a bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Advertising Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Advertising Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     • Effectively manage a territory of both new and long-term relationship accounts

    You Are: An articulate, organized and ambitious self-starter. We are looking for an exceptional individual to handle the sales process from prospecting to closing - all the while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have the following:

    • Post-secondary education from an accredited college/university or applicable experience
    • 2-3 years’ experience working in a sales role for a media company, a destination (CVB), an event venue, as a meeting & event planner, or for a hospitality related organization
    • Knowledge of consultative, solution-based selling
    • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
    • Superior problem solving, presentation and negotiation skills
    • PC skills including proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and CRM software
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
    • Ability to multi-task, handle pressure and work under deadlines in a structured environment
    • Experience selling integrated media programs and campaigns is an asset, but we will provide training for the right candidate
