Accountant maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Being an Accountant compiles financial data to aid more senior accountants in the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. Assists in analyzing current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Additionally, Accountant typically requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Accountant work is closely managed. Position Summary
The accountant has primary responsibility for administrating preparing/examining the financial records, ensuring records are accurate for the company. In addition, the accountant will be responsible for the budgetary and the financial reports.
Duties- Maintain compliance with all regulatory ISO requirements.
- Reconciling the company's bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
- Generating the company's financial reports using income and expenditure data
- Responsible for examining the accuracy for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Support special projects as required;
- Maintain a professional first impression for visitors and vendors;
- Must have a thorough understanding of the company policies and procedures;
- Other duties as required.
- Must understand all safety policies and procedures
- Use required safety equipment
- Report all violations of safety policies
- Suggest safety improvements
- Keep safety guarding in place
- Keep work area clean and free of safety hazards such as debris and spilled fluids
- Report all unsafe conditions to Administration Manager
- Must understand all quality policies and procedures
- Ensure accuracy of reporting
- Confirm any debit memo that company reviewed with QA manager
- Inform Administration Manager of any questionable costs or pricing
- Recommend cost reduction activities
- Support requirements for on-time delivery where needed
- Ensure all appropriate shipping related activities such as invoicing and payment are accomplished in a timely manner
- Responsible for personal time management to best optimize production.
- Comply with Plant Environmental Policies.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a focus on accounting courses
- 2 years' experience within a manufacturing environment required;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Outlook, and Word required;
- Proficiency with Accounting business management software preferred;
- Speak/Read Japanese
- Effective verbal and written communication skills required
- Effective problem-solving skills required.
- Character of duties involve the coordination of manual dexterity and normal mental and visual attention.
- Activities: Seeing, sitting, talking, walking, keyboarding, lifting (up to thirty pounds), standing, carrying, stooping, reaching.
