Josh Mehlin enlisted with the US Air Force in the early summer of 2000. He served as an F15E Crew Chief with the 492nd Fighter Squadron at RAF Lakenheath, and later as a Maintenance Operations Controller with the 1st Maintenance Operations Squadron at Langley AFB, Virginia. In 2006, he completed his active duty enlistment, and elected to continue military service with the Florida and Nebraska Air National Guard. Josh was honorably discharged in 2010, and now owns a residential property management company in his hometown of Lincoln, Nebraska. He is married to his high school crush, Abby, and has two children, Garrison and Adelai. Their English Mastiff, Evie -- or "The Pig" as she is more affectionately known -- co-authors and edits most of his work and provides a daily reminder that regular naps are important, a good network equals more petting, a good stretch should be a very noisy event and that people who have access to truly great food should be followed around and begged for treats.
