Salary.com® Appoints Human Resources Software Industry Veteran to Lead its Product Marketing Team

Brent Kleiman to Leverage Decades of Product Marketing Experience to Grow Company's Enterprise Talent Management Customer Base

Waltham, MA, October 01, 2008 -- Salary.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: SLRY), a leading provider of on-demand compensation and talent management solutions, today announced the appointment of Brent Kleiman as senior vice president of product marketing and strategy. Kleiman brings decades of successful human resources software industry experience to Salary.com, and will play a critical role in Salary.com's efforts to deliver best-in-class competency-based talent management solutions to the market.

Brent Kleiman joined Salary.com as general manager and vice president of small business solutions in November 2007. Prior to joining Salary.com, Kleiman served as president and chief executive officer of Humetrics, a software provider focused on solutions for recruiting and hiring hourly employees, before orchestrating the sale of the company to Deploy Solutions. While at Humetrics he developed and implemented the strategic plan for the company which led to unprecedented growth and a leadership position in the market through the development of new innovative products and ancillary services.

After the acquisition in December of 2003, Kleiman went on to hold several executive positions including vice president and general manager of the hourly division at Deploy Solutions, a top provider of applicant tracking software and services, which was later acquired by Kronos. Kleiman will lead a team that is responsible for differentiating Salary.com's talent management, competency and compensation solutions and executing against a strategic product marketing plan to expand Salary.com's customer base in the large and growing enterprise market.

Kleiman received his undergraduate degree in Business from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He also co-authored the book Recruit Smarter Not Harder.
