Job profiles

The Jobs component of an ITG model delineates the jobs that are common to a business function or job family and provide a definition for each job and a listing of key responsibilities. Job profiles indicate the key competencies required for success in that particular job.

The job profiles are very important for any competency/talent management project because it allows you to provide competency expectations that are specific to that job. Core competency databases and competency “libraries” do not include information linked to jobs. All this work has been done for you in an ITG “Job-Competency” Model.

ITG has gone a step further to help accelerate your project and improve its effectiveness by pre-defining the required proficiency level for each competency. Each preset proficiency level is individualized for that particular job. Thus, a senior executive probably should know “budgeting” at level 4 while a team leader may only need a level 1 or 2 proficiency level. All this has been done for you in the ITG Models.
