Career pathing tool

The ITG Career Pathing Tool is designed to help employees self-direct and prepare for the next step in their career. This is accomplished by allowing the employee to evaluate their existing set of competencies against the set of competencies required in the position to which they aspire. The tool includes ITG competency model data incorporated into a Microsoft Excel workbook.

The tool delivers the essential results of a career pathing process for pilot projects and small to medium sized groups without first having to build or select and acquire a specific talent management software application or vendor.

Career Path Example

In the example displayed, an employee wishes to be considered for the Human Resources Generalist job. The Career Pathing Tool shows the job description and responsibilities of the job along with the competencies associated with the job. The Assessment Standards column identifies the required proficiency level in each of the competencies.
