If you haven't already noticed the trend created by the aging Baby Boomer population, here's another health care related job in the medical field.

Biomedical engineers develop devices and procedures that solve medical and healthrelated problems. The research performed by these workers in conjunction with life scientists, chemists, and medical scientists, aims to develop and evaluate systems and products for use in the fields of biology and health. These include prostheses (artificial devices that replace missing body parts), instrumentation, health management, and care delivery systems.

The BLS expects an increase of nearly 62% in job openings, which translates to 9,700 new openings in this specialized field, for which the pay range climbs to nearly $100,000 with a few years of experience.
