MANTA seeks an experienced bookkeeper with office management experience in a professional service office to work onsite. As our Bookkeeper/Office Manager, you will be responsible for accounts receivable/accounts payable, IT coordination, and general office management activities.
This important position involves close interaction with partners, program managers, and Manta employees. Therefore, the candidate must be a well-organized, detail-oriented & dependable person that can work independently. In addition, strong communication skills and professionalism are required for routine interaction with clients and their accounting personnel.

Responsibilities include:
- Perform all phases of the accounts payable cycle, including entering vendor invoices, client coding, and payments.
- Perform all phases of accounts receivable, including monthly billing, invoice aging, collection functions, and processing cash receipts.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Journal entries.
- Track and report on cash flow to the owners.
- Create monthly financial statements for review with owners.
- Coordinate with partners and an outside accounting firm for year-end closing of financials.
- General office administration, including but not limed to general office supplies organization and planning, answering phones & greeting visitors, ordering supplies, filing, mail handling, and miscellaneous administrative dues as needed.
- Manage interaction with our IT consultants and building management.
Job Requirements:
- At least ten years of bookkeeping experience with a service/consulting firm.
- Strong knowledge of accounting concepts and procedures, including AP, AR, and purchase orders.
- Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented.
- Professional communication skills with colleagues and customers.
- Fluency in MS Excel and MS Word is required.
- Familiarity with Deltek Ajera (accounting and project management software) is highly desirable.
- Work is 24 hours per week and onsite in Cambridge, MA.
- Experience with payroll and 401K plan administration is a plus and expands the job scope.
