DRH Health Information Technology supports clinical and financial systems and the technical architecture of DRH Health. The Telecommunications Analyst installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs DRH Health's telecommunications equipment and systems, analyzes DRH Health's telecommunications needs and makes recommendations, communicates with vendors and end-users, and performs related duties as required.
Responsibilities
Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs telecommunications equipment, switches, wiring, and related voice and data communication systemsAnalyzes telecommunications needs, conducts research, evaluates telecommunications equipment and systems, and makes recommendationsCompiles and maintains records and databases of telecommunications equipment inventory and work performed, reviews and analyzes billing reports and other information from suppliers, vendors and end-users, and compiles reports for appropriate personnelAssigns and distributes mobile telecommunications equipment to personnel, tracks usage and billing, and reports irregularities to appropriate supervisory staffCommunicates with vendors, suppliers, and consultants regarding telecommunications equipment and systems, monitors contracts and maintenance agreementsProvides information, training, and technical assistance to end-users regarding the use of telecommunications equipment and systemsInstalls, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs multi-function printersSupports, maintains, troubleshoots, various 3rd party software (telecommunications, mass communication, printer management, nurse call, etc.)Supports, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs nurse call hardware componentsImplements and enforces all cyber security policies and procedures.Complies with all HIPAA standardsParticipates in the IT on call rotation, and is also willing to answer questions when not on call.Regular attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts.Maintains professional and technical knowledge through continuing education opportunities including internal and external educational offerings.Utilization of assistive devices for lifting is mandatory.Must adhere to safety protocols at all times.Per DRH policy, all required conditions of employment must be met and maintained including required vaccinations.Implement DRH Standards of Behavior and exhibit behaviors consistent with DRH core values.Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge of: telecommunications equipment and related voice and data systems comparable to those used by DRH Health (Avaya products preferred); SIP telephony and trunking; practices and procedures for the installation, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of telecommunications equipment; the safe and proper use of commonly used hand power tools, electronic test equipment, and specialized telecommunications test equipment; the principles and practices of workplace safety; bidding and procurement procedures; and, commonly used computer office software.
Ability to: respond to emergency service calls and make necessary repairs in a timely manner; read and interpret schematic diagrams, manufacturer's service manuals, and other technical documentation; research, analyze, and make recommendations regarding the adoption and use of telecommunications equipment and systems; provide training and instruction to consultants, contractors and end-users; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; and establish and maintain effective working relations with DRH Health's staff, and members of the public using principles of good customer service.
Education And/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in a field related to computer or information science. Two (2) years of experience in network or telecommunications support. Significant years of direct network or telecommunications support work experience and certifications may be considered in lieu of degree.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; Ability to remain flexible to quickly adapt to urgent situations. Ability to adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment, and techniques to accomplish the requirements of the position.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
CompTia Network , CompTia Security , and Cisco CCNA certification preferred. A current valid driver's license and automobile liability insurance must be maintained.
