Mail Clerk receives, sorts and distributes incoming mail. Collects and processes outgoing mail. Being a Mail Clerk operates postage machine and other mailroom equipment as needed. Typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Mail Clerk typically reports to a Mailroom Supervisor. The Mail Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. ```Duties```
- Receive and inspect incoming packages, verifying accuracy of contents
- Unpack and organize items in designated storage areas
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packing, and labeling items according to customer requirements
- Operate RF scanners to send packages and update system records
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
-Fingerprint/I9/ID Photo for appointments scheduled by 3rd party, training provided.
```Experience```
- Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role preferred
- Proficiency in using PostalMate is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipments and maintaining inventory records
- Basic math skills for quantity verification and calculations
